These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to the PGGL website and use of its inquiry, consultation, gemstone examination, research, grading, certification and certificate-verification features. “PGGL”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the laboratory operating this website.
By using the website or requesting a service, you agree to these Terms. A separate service quotation, submission form or written agreement may add terms for a particular engagement; if there is a conflict, the signed or accepted service-specific agreement will apply to that engagement to the extent permitted by law.
Website content is provided for general information about PGGL and its services. We aim to keep it accurate and current, but descriptions, timelines, fees, processes and availability may change. Website content is not a substitute for a laboratory report or a written service confirmation.
Submitting an inquiry or consultation form does not automatically create a client relationship, confirm an appointment, guarantee acceptance of a gemstone, or constitute an order. We will confirm any accepted service, applicable fees, required documentation and expected turnaround time separately.
You must be legally entitled to submit the gemstone or item and must provide accurate information known to you. Disclose any relevant treatments, repairs, damage, mounting, prior testing or special handling requirements. Packaging, delivery, insurance, collection and return arrangements should be agreed with PGGL in writing before an item is sent.
Gemstones and jewelry may be delicate and some examination methods may require handling or testing. Any destructive, invasive or sample-removal procedure should be explained and authorized in writing in advance. Do not send an item until PGGL has confirmed the submission procedure.
Laboratory findings reflect the observations, tests, methods, equipment and professional judgment used at the time of examination. Gemstone identification and grading may involve scientific assessment and stated limitations. A report or certificate applies only to the item examined and the scope stated in that document; it is not a guarantee of market value, resale price, future condition, investment performance or acceptance by every buyer, insurer, auction house or authority.
Unless expressly stated in a written agreement, PGGL does not provide an appraisal, guarantee of origin, or guarantee against later changes to an item. Reports should be read in full, including notes, limitations and any stated uncertainty.
The online verification tool is provided as a convenience for checking information associated with PGGL certificates. Users should enter certificate details carefully and contact PGGL if a result appears incomplete, inconsistent or unavailable. A website result does not replace inspection of the original report or written confirmation from PGGL where formal confirmation is required. PGGL may restrict or suspend verification access to protect the system or prevent misuse.
Fees, payment deadlines, taxes, shipping costs and estimated completion times will be communicated through a quotation, service schedule or other written confirmation. Unless confirmed in writing, estimates are not guarantees. Work may be delayed by complex examination, additional testing, incomplete information, equipment maintenance, shipping issues or events outside our reasonable control. Any cancellation, refund or storage charges should be set out in the applicable service agreement or quotation.
Unless otherwise indicated, the website design, text, graphics, branding, logos, report templates and other website materials are owned by or licensed to PGGL and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and print material for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not copy, modify, distribute, commercially exploit or use PGGL branding in a way that suggests endorsement without prior written permission. Rights in client-submitted materials remain subject to the parties’ applicable agreement.
The website may link to or rely on third-party websites, hosting providers or communication tools. These services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. PGGL does not control third-party services and, to the extent permitted by law, is not responsible for their independent acts or availability.
The website is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, PGGL disclaims warranties that cannot be impliedly or expressly guaranteed, including uninterrupted website availability or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, PGGL will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from website use or inability to access the website. Any liability connected with a paid laboratory service will be governed by the applicable service agreement and mandatory law. These Terms do not limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses reasonably arising from your unlawful use of the website, intentional misuse of certificates, infringement of third-party rights, or material breach of these Terms. This section does not apply to the extent a loss was caused by PGGL’s own unlawful conduct.
We may update, suspend or discontinue website features for maintenance, security, operational or legal reasons. We may restrict access where we reasonably suspect misuse or a security risk. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Pakistan, subject to applicable mandatory law. Any dispute should first be raised with PGGL in writing so the parties can attempt to resolve it in good faith. The competent courts in the appropriate jurisdiction in Pakistan will have jurisdiction, subject to applicable law and any valid service-specific agreement.
